This study attempts to determine the relationship that exists between employee performance and on the job training effectiveness among employees who were employed in a service oriented type organization located in the Southern Caribbean. Data was collected from 80 participants based on the convenience sampling technique, via online questionnaire. A Likert scale, self -report online questionnaire was utilized to gather data on employee performance and on the job training effectiveness. The data was analyzed with the use of Pearson r correlation. The result revealed that there was a strong positive relationship between the two variables, r (80) = 0.856, p < 0.01. This means that “on the job” training effectiveness tends to have a positive relationship with an employee perception of increased performance.
