The impact of migration both within Indian territories together with international migration matters greatly for parents who remain in the country. Past investigative research indicates that migrants experience both beneficial and unbeneficial outcomes. Remittances sent by migrant children enhance household finances as well as provide families with both financial protection and better healthcare together with improved living conditions. The adverse effects of migration on caregiving adults are equally crucial as they consist of emotional distress together with feelings of loneliness, social isolation and reduced physical care needs. The absence of traditional support systems due to migration exacerbates these challenges, particularly for elderly parents in rural areas. The author conducts a review of existing literature to study the detailed effects that migration imposes on parental welfare. This study aims to analyze how migration affects people in two contradictory ways while exploring consistent trends between emotional health, social interactions and economic change. The movement of people transforms household relationships in addition to changing geographical boundaries. Indian parents embrace dual emotions at work in two directions due to extended time spent apart from their children for economic advancement. Socio-economic improvements create psychological challenges by forcing success dreams to merge with the desire for family closeness.
