Sustainable floriculture production requires effective water management, especially in areas with growing water constraints and climatic unpredictability. To maximize resource utilization and improve crop production, drip irrigation systems have become a very successful technique for precisely delivering water and nutrients to the root zone. This study looks at how drip irrigation might help India’s floriculture become more sustainable, productive, and high-quality. The analysis, which draws on case studies, experimental research, and field-level observations, shows that crops grown with drip systems significantly outperform crops grown with conventional irrigation techniques in terms of flower output, stem length, bloom size, and uniformity. Drip irrigation also helps to enhance fertilizer usage efficiency through fertigation, decrease weed development, and lessen the frequency of foliar diseases.
