Attitude towards cheating among students of professional and non-professional courses

Meenakshi Narania and Vijay Singh (Department of Psychology, Jammu University, Jammu) The study was done to compare the attitude towards cheating of the professional and non-professional course students. In this study the sample consisted of 40 professional and 40 non-professional course students, studying in various professional and non-professional colleges in Jammu city. For the measurement of Attitude towards Cheating, Attitude towards cheating scale developed by Sharma was administered on the sample. It consists of 35 statements which are either positive or negative. Responses were to be obtained on five point scale. t-test was used for statistical analysis. The finding of this study showed that the students of professional courses have more positive attitude towards cheating as compared to the students of non-professional course. The value of t=16.45** was found to be statistically significant at .05 level between the two group of subjects.
