It is progressing rapidly to become one of the world’s most powerful nation not only in terms of military strength but also in technology, wealth, services, health, export etc. However, when it comes to employment of women population; things has not progressed matching to the level of development the nation is witnessing. This paper is an attempt to explore the probable cause of unemployment of women in India and what steps could be taken for women resource development.
