Media exposure and aggression intertwine in complex ways, influencing behaviors and attitudes among individuals, especially young adults. From television to video games, media platforms often depict violence, which may shape perceptions and trigger aggressive tendencies. This study investigates the correlation between exposure to media violence and aggression in young adults, aiming to understand the influential role of media content on behavioral responses. The study uses a quantitative approach, making use of the Content-based Media Exposure Scale (C-ME) to assess the level of media exposure and the Buss Perry Aggression Questionnaire to assess aggression in 160 young adults. The data is analyzed using Pearson Correlation, revealing a statistically significant positive correlation between exposure to media violence and aggression. These findings underscore the importance of addressing media violence and promoting healthy media consumption habits among young adults.
