Spirituality involves a sense of connection to something greater than ourselves and a search for meaning in life. While there is substantial research in this area, it is limited in the context of Indian literature. Therefore, the current study aimed to examine the impact of spirituality on anxiety among the elderly population. Using a quantitative approach with a between-group design, the study examined anxiety levels as the dependent variable, comparing participants with high spirituality to those with low spirituality. The results of the study were analysed employing an independent samples t-test to determine the differences between the two groups. The analysis revealed a t value of -7.01 with 74 degrees of freedom, indicating a statistically significant finding at the 0.05 level [t(74) = -7.01, p < 0.05]. The inferential statistics indicated significant findings regarding the effect of spirituality on anxiety. These results have important implications for treatment and rehabilitation within the geriatric population.
