The impact of attachment disorder in school-age children on their academic achievement and self-confidence

The aim of this study was to the survey of the impact of attachment disorder in school-age children on their academic achievement and self-confidence. For this purpose a sample of188 subjects was selected using Cochran formula among the first and second elementary school children in the academic year 2014-2015 by Cluster random sampling method. Samples were evaluated using Randolph Attachment Disorder Questionnaire (RADQ) and Cooper Smith Self-Confidence Inventory. The data were evaluated using linear regression analysis with enter and stepwise method. The findings show that, attachment disorders are able to predict the changes are related to self-esteem and academic achievement. As well as, self-confidence are able to predict the changes are related to the academic achievement of children. The results suggest that, to increase academic achievement and self-esteem can be considered child attachment disorders.
