
Teacher self-efficacy in relation to job burnout among private school teachers

The present study was aimed to find out the relationship between teacher self-efficacy and job burnout among the private school teachers of Haryana. The participant were150 private school teachers selected from different private schools of Haryana. Teacher self-efficacy has been examined with help of Teacher’s Sense of Efficacy Scale by Tschannen-Moran and Hoy (2001) and job- burnout has been measured with the help of Maslach Burnout Inventory- Educator survey by Maslach, Jackson and Leiter (1996). The findings from regression analysis show that teacher self-efficacy is negatively related with emotional exhaustion and depersonalization but positively related with personal accomplishment.
