The biological or physical outcomes related to living in poverty are predominantly observed in early childhood development, including low birth weight (Bradley et al., 1994; US Department of Health & Human Services, 2000) and lead poisoning (Cecil et al., 2008; Needleman et al., 1990) which precipitate issues with brain development and overall healthy functioning. The present paper explores findings on psychological and sociological impact of poverty and various coping strategies for poverty.
