In this paper we are going to discuss about different types of materials used in the pharmaceuticals packaging industry for the packaging of the drugs as per the requirement or compatibility of the product with the package. In this paper we are focusing on the properties, advantage, and disadvantage of most widely used materials like Glass, Metals and plastic in the pharmaceutical packaging industry, more understanding of these materials and their inherent physical properties are understood, the advantages of plastic packaging will be incorporated in their presentation.
