Global competition has motivated all organizations to compete on modern parameters of quality, design, manufacturing techniques, distribution and information sharing. For improving the performance of the individual company and the supply chain as a whole it requires a combined effort of all members of supply chain. For effective and long term relationship between all members of supply chain coordination is required. Supplier selection and development planning can give SCM a new edge of success. In the current study, author has used survey-based approach to study the supplier selection issues and their effect on the performance of Indian organization. The finding of this study revealed that supplier selection issues have significant impact on performance of Indian organizations.
