Children living in orphanages often are deprived of parental or guardian’s love and affection. They are brought up by the caregivers who are assigned for more than a dozen at a time, and therefore they lack in psychological well-being. It is no wonder, how much proper parental care is necessary for the upbringing of a child, proper emotional, social and physical development. Hence, the aim of this paper was to review various studies on this topic, and come out with recommendations on the various problems children living in orphanages face in day to day life.
