This study explores the impact of gender, rank, and duty location on job stress among police officers in the Kashmir Valley. It also examines how these factors influence emotional states, psychological well-being, and overall flourishing. The research involved 120 officers (60 males & 60 females) from three districts, including 60 Inspectors and 60 Constables, all aged between 20 and 40. Participants were chosen through purposive sampling and evaluated using a Socio-demographic Form, the Operational Police Stress Questionnaire, the Eight State Questionnaire, the Psychological Well-being Scale, and the Psychological Flourishing Scale. The findings showed notable variations in job stress, emotional states, psychological well-being, and flourishing based on gender, rank, and location. Notably, male Constables in Baramulla reported higher job stress. Gender differences were evident in emotional states, with males experiencing more fatigue and females reporting higher arousal. Furthermore, female police personnel scored higher on psychological well-being and flourishing compared to male police personnel.
