As a part of marginalized communities, transgender individuals face various forms of discrimination such as exclusion from society, challenges in family and society that influence their mental health. Limited opportunities in education, employment, healthcare, and social sectors lead people to establish alternative livelihoods like begging or sex work. They also face difficulties in establishing romantic relationships. The present study used qualitative case analysis to understand the interpersonal relationships of transgender women. It highlights the personal struggle of transgender women in overcoming the loss of a romantic relationship. The study highlights the need for an inclusive society and prioritisation of mental health of transgender community.
