The present study studied and investigated the emotional maturity of 200 adolescents in government and private schools. Data were analyzed in terms of t-test. Results revealed that the students of private schools were significantly high on all the five dimensions of emotional maturity namely; Emotional Stability, Emotional Progression, Social Adjustment, Personality Integration and Independence as compared to the government schools mainly due to grooming and permissive environment.
