Adolescence is a transitional period with marked physical, psychological and social changes which impacts their flourishing. Inability to flourish during these important transitional years can affect individuals in a negative way over the course of their life-time. Hence it becomes essential to address this as early as possible. The present study tried to find out whether mindfulness and gratitude-based intervention had an impact on flourishing among adolescents. For this purpose, the study followed a pre, post, and follow-up experimental design with the control group. This study consisted of 100 participants with 50 members in the experimental group and 50 members in the control group. The age range of the participants was between 13 to 15 years. Experimental group underwent mindfulness and gratitude based intervention for a period of two months. No intervention was given to the control group. Baseline, post-intervention and follow-up tests were done to measure their level of flourishing. Results revealed that level of flourishing significantly increased in the experimental group while no change in the level of flourishing was observed in the control group. Hence the mindfulness and gratitude based intervention was found to be effective for improving flourishing in adolescents.
