This study investigates the health status, nutritional behavior, psychological conditions, and functional independence of elderly females in Sirsa District, Haryana, India. Using validated instruments-the Katz Index of Independence in Activities of Daily Living, the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-30), and the UCLA Loneliness Scale-the study provides a comprehensive overview of the multifaceted challenges faced by aging women. A structured questionnaire was administered to 300 elderly females, with data analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and chi-square tests. Results reveal significant urban-rural disparities in nutrition awareness, coping strategies, and levels of depression and loneliness. The findings underscore the importance of region-specific geriatric healthcare programs that incorporate physical rehabilitation, psychological counseling, and nutritional education.
