‘Everything is vague to a degree you do not realize till you have tried to make it precise’ – Bertrand Russell Fuzzy logic is a method for understanding, quantifying and dealing with vague, ambiguous and uncertain characteristics, ideas and judgments. The present paper attempt to review what is fuzzy logic and its applications in various fields ranging from soft sciences to industries and day-to-day life of human beings. Fuzzy logic is emerging as fastest growing technologies, which has made its impact in almost every walk of life. The present review reveals various applicability in different fields including personnel selection, consumer goods, cognitive sciences, industries, agriculture and food technology, engineering, environmental risk assessment, medical decision-making, information system, etc.
