Situated in the heart of Ladakh: Leh, where the rugged terrain intersects with a deep-rooted cultural heritage, an expedition titled “Cultural Chronicles: Women’s Roles in Leh Unveiled” aims to explore the profound influence of cultural norms on the lives of women. Utilising a meticulously designed survey and stratified random sampling, this study reveals the complex interplay between cultural norms and the experiences of women in Leh. The insights derived from this research offers the ideas of transformation, empowerment, the vision of a more inclusive and equitable society by addressing disparities in cultural norms and women’s rights. This endeavour serves as a guide for policymakers, scholars, and organizations dedicated to promoting gender equality within Leh Ladakh’s distinct cultural milieu, contributing to a understanding of women’s experiences in this remote and culturally diverse region while broadening the discourse on women’s roles.
