The purpose of the study was to investigate coping in relation to boredom, fantasy engagement and fear of COVID-19 in emerging adults during lockdown. The sample of the investigation comprises 100 participants (both males & females) of age ranging from 18 to 23 years. The measures of the research encompass Multi-Dimensional State Boredom Scale (Fahlman et al., 2013); Fantasy Engagement Scale (Plante et al., 2017); Fear of COVID-19 Scale (Ahorsu et al., 2020); and Coping Scale (adapted from Holahan & Moose, 1987). The results showed that there was a significant negative correlation between fear of COVID and coping (r= -0.288; p<0.01). Further, it was found that fear of COVID also significantly predicted Coping by accounting for 8% variance in it (β=-0.28, F=8.88; p<0.005). However, fantasy engagement and boredom were not found to have significant correlation with coping and no gender difference was found on coping, fear of COVID, boredom and fantasy engagement.
