The growing body of research says that nature is vital for our physical and mental development. It reduces stress and has healing properties. After the Covid Era, a sudden shift has come in the minds of the individuals and they are investing their time in the lap of nature. Currently, terms like forest bathing, forest schools, sustainable society and lifestyle, etc. are gaining momentum and healthcare providers are working on the beneficial effects of the natural world on mental health. Studies have shown that people who spend more time in green spaces are healthier and have good psychological well-being. Ecopsychology works on the connection between human beings and nature and brings people closer to nature. The concept also proposes that many instances of psychological distress are caused by our alienation from nature. It is also focusing on working with nature and conserving and protecting the environment. Thus, this paper is going to understand the theoretical foundations of Ecopsychology and the beneficial aspects of immersing oneself in nature. It will also highlight the various sustainable lifestyles and the relationship of people with the natural world.
