An Overview of Crochet and Macramé: Implication on Social Well-being

Today’s world demands growth in fashion with upcoming latest trends, creativity, and new ideas in products, accessories, and garments. To add to the income, people have started taking small businesses by making something handmade, which they can sell at affordable prices. This research aims to get an overview of textile craft and find how it helps an individual in different purposes of life. An online survey was conducted with a sample size of 80 respondents. Information was gathered through a questionnaire as a tool. The tool contained both closed-ended and open-ended questions. The respondents shared their experiences, rated the benefits, and ranked the core benefits that affected their personal lives. The findings suggest that respondents were involved in developing various products of, crochet and macramé for various reasons; as a hobby, for society, and to generate income. The practice of these crafts has led to making their health better.
