This research investigated the impact of a recently introduced performance appraisal system at an Indian private school. One hundred fifty-three members in teaching, administrative, and co-curricular roles participated in the study. Using a structured questionnaire, the study compared staff satisfaction with the new appraisal format against the previous one. The findings revealed a considerable increase in overall staff satisfaction due to clearer performance standards, greater job-specific relevance, more timely feedback, and enhanced motivation. The revised system’s inclusivity and better alignment with varied job functions contributed to improved employee morale and engagement. The results suggest that customizing performance appraisal systems to suit specific roles can enhance the efficacy of staff evaluation within educational settings.
