The present study attempts to explore defense oriented reactions of adolescents belonging to high and low socio- economic status. The data was collected on 200 adolescents (100 boys and 100 girls) equally divided into two categories: Respondents belonging to High and Low SES. Bhardwaj’s SES Scale (1999) and Mrinal and Mrinal’s DMI (1998) were used to assess SES and use of defense oriented reactions of the respondents respectively.
