Motivation accelerates the process of becoming. Motivation must be considered as a process by which an individual may be prepared to respond to situations which are directed towards the achievement of objectives. How much motivated one can be ascertained through one’s choices, level of activity, involvement and persistence of efforts. Many factors are responsible for shaping motivated behaviour. Significant among them are-sociocultural factors, classroom environmental factors, and internal factors. Further, environment includes two types of factors – motivators and demotivators, both extremely powerful. Before motivating others, it is very important to identify and recognize demotivators. Once recognized, these impediments can be removed and substituted by motivators. There are certain principles to be followed by a motivator. These principles vary when dealing with an individual and while dealing with a group. With all this knowledge, one can bring positive changes in whatever area one is placed. Thus, motivation can be considered a magic wand that leads to success adding fun, action, and novelty to an otherwise dull environment without compromising quality.
