To evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive Drill Therapy (CDT) in reducing fear of negative evaluation. The objective of the study is to explore the impact of verbal exposure in Cognitive Drill Therapy on diminishing fear of negative evaluation. A random sampling method was employed with a pre-post-test design for both experimental and control groups. The sample consisted of 54 participants, with 27 individuals assigned to each group, selected based on pre-test scores indicating moderate fear of negative evaluation. The intervention group underwent ten sessions, weekly two of structured CDT. The Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale was used as the assessment tool. Post-test scores were analyzed using an independent sample t-test to measure changes in fear of negative evaluation between the groups. The study found that Cognitive Drill Therapy significantly reduced fear of negative evaluation as evidenced by improved post-test scores in the experimental group. CDT offers a unique and rapid approach for addressing cognitive factors associated with fear of negative evaluation and irrational fears.
