Job Crafting refers to the proactive measures taken by employees to modify their job content or work relationships. The aim of this study was to test the reliability and validity of the Job Crafting Questionnaire (JCQ), developed by Slemp and Brodrick, in the context of India. The study involved 284 professionals from private organizations, including 170 males and 114 females with an average age of 28.74. The participants were subjected to a confirmatory factorial analysis of the JCQ measurement model. The results showed that the JCQ is adequate for use in the Indian context, with acceptable construct validity indices for the three dimensions of task crafting, cognitive crafting, and relational crafting. The alpha coefficients for all three dimensions were high (0.89, 0.90, & 0.90), indicating that the JCQ is a reliable measure. However, one item (no. 15) had to be dropped due to poor psychometric properties. The study provides empirical evidence supporting the use of the JCQ for evaluating Job Crafting in the Indian context with reasonable confidence.
