Perfectionism (P) and Competitive Anxiety (CA) have been linked to Self-Esteem (SE) in athletes, yet their interrelations remain unclear. This study attempts to identify the relationship between Perfectionism (P), Self-Esteem (SE), and Competitive Anxiety (CA). A cross-sectional design was employed for the collection of the data and the following tools were used, i.e., Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FMPS) (Stober, 1998); Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSE) (Rosenberg, 1965); and Sports Competitive Anxiety Test (SCAT) (Martens, 1977). There were 159 athletes (Male n1= 108 & Female n2= 51), aged between 18-25 years had participated. The statistical analysis included the calculation of Means, Standard Deviation (SD) and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results of this study indicated that there was a positive relationship between various sub-dimensions of perfectionism (P) (concern over mistakes and doubts about actions, COM, excessive concern with parental expectations and evaluation, ECP, excessively high personal standards, EHP.) and self-esteem (SE). Furthermore, competitive anxiety (CA) had shown a negative relationship with excessively high personal standard (EHP) and self-esteem (SE).
