This systematic literature review provides an in-depth insight into how the involvement of traditional leaders in curbing incessant school violence in KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Eradication of school violence is critical to Whole School Performance. The study employed a systematic review of extant literature sources on the phenomenon. Studies revealed that various school-based violence is common in King Cetshwayo District’s schools. Studies revealed that learners engage in various school violence for many reasons. Some of these fights or rancour start from homes and are extended to schools. The violence disrupts school activities and sometimes leads to injuries and destruction of school property among other calamities. The study highlights the significant role of traditional leaders in curbing this incessant school violence across South Africa. Hence, the study recommends the effective involvement of traditional leaders in school discipline and school management. Traditional leaders are critical stakeholders and community rulers in every community, where schools are located.
