Happiness is a positive emotional state that each person subjectively defines. The Indian tradition considers happiness as a spiritual pursuit, that it is only by turning inwards, establishing in one’s self, and realizing one’s true nature that one can find happiness. “Spiritual personality takes a holistic view, which requires spiritual virtues, positive outlook on life, spiritual discipline, goodness, spiritual service, and moral rectitude. People who are inclined to forgive their transgressors tend to be more agreeable, and more emotionally stable and some research suggests, more spiritually or religiously inclined than people who do not forgive their transgressors. The purpose of the present study was to study the role of spirituality and forgiveness on happiness among undergraduate students of Kolkata. The sample for the present study consisted of 508 samples (253 females & 255 males). The aim of the present study was to explore the relationship between happiness with forgiveness and spirituality. It can be concluded that no significant difference is found between male and female undergraduate college students of Kolkata in terms of happiness and coincidentally it has been found that the mean of happiness between male and female are found to be closely similar to each other.
