This study explores the relationship between social intelligence and stress coping styles among college students. Data were collected from a balanced sample of 100 students (50 males & 50 females) aged between 18 and 24 years, using standardized tools: the Social Intelligence Scale (Mathur, 1999) and the Stress Coping Style Inventory (Lin & Chen, 2010). Findings revealed a significant positive correlation between social intelligence and active coping strategies, and a negative correlation with passive coping strategies. No significant gender differences were observed in either social intelligence or coping styles. The study highlights the enduring relevance of social intelligence in shaping adaptive coping mechanisms among college students, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions to enhance coping strategies.
