This research was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of three months of positive thinking training on self-satisfaction, happiness and life expectancy in women aged 65 to 80 in Isfahan province. The current study is a semi-experimental study, the statistical population of the study included all women aged 65-80 years old in Isfahan city, who were divided into two experimental groups (15 people) and control group (15 people) using the available sampling method. The research tools included the self-satisfaction questionnaire made by the researcher, the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire by Argaril and Lowe (1989) and the Life Expectancy Questionnaire by Schneider et al. The positive thinking session was conducted in 12 sessions for the experimental group and the data results were analyzed using SPSS software and covariance test. Based on the findings obtained from the analysis of the results of the relationship between the pre-test and post-test scores of positive thinking on the variables of self-satisfaction (F=141.101), happiness (f=24.315) and life expectancy (f=52.22). It is significant (p>0.05).
