The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between social anxiety and coping strategy among college students. the study population comprised all male and female students of National Institute of Technology in Tripura. A total of 150 students with 121 males and 29 females were selected through random sampling method. The social anxiety scale and brief cope scale were administered. For statistical analysis of mean, standard deviation, t-test and Carl -Pearson correlation was done by using SPSS 20 version. The result found that there is a correlation between social anxiety and coping strategy. The results demonstrated that males have higher social anxiety than females. But there is no significant difference between social anxiety and coping strategy based on gender. The present study it is revealed that there is no significant difference in social anxiety and coping strategy based on their age and their type of family.
