The current study looked into how well young adults in India slept as a potential indicator of their risk of developing a smartphone addiction. To achieve this goal, 501 young adults enrolled in various universities over the 202021 academic year completed the PSQI Inventory and a Smartphone Addiction Scale. Regression analysis was used to examine the connection between sleep and the risk of smartphone addiction. The findings of this study suggested a negative correlation between poor sleep quality and smartphone addiction in young adults in India. College counsellors should then assist their clients in raising their SQ to effectively reduce the risk of young adults becoming addicted to their smartphones.
