Role of Spiritual Intelligence in Happiness of Adolescent Students during COVID-19 Pandemic

The current research studied the contribution of spiritual intelligence to the happiness of the adolescent students. A total of 160 students with 73 males and 87 females studying indifferent colleges of Odisha within the age range of 18 to 20 years, were given the Spiritual Intelligence Self Inventory (King, 2008). A median split was done to classify them as high scorers and low scorers of Spiritual Intelligence (SI). These two groups were then provided with the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (Hills & Argyle, 2002). Data were quantitatively analyzed with the help of independent sample ‘t’ test. Outcomes revealed significant difference betwixt the happiness levels of the two groups. Only the Personal Meaning Production (PMP) component of Spiritual Intelligence could significantly predict happiness as seen from regression analysis. The results have been discussed in the context of situations prevailing during Covid-19 pandemic.
