The preventive measures such as physical isolation, cleanliness and multiple lockdowns taken during COVID-19 pandemic caused a negative impact on the mental health of individuals. As the waves of COVID-19 progressed, the severity and fear spiked among the people. The nature of the virus with its lethal capacity triggered COVID Obsession and death anxiety in individuals who suffered from COVID-19 and who live in proximity to them. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of COVID-19 Obsession and Death Anxiety on the Quality of Life of COVID-19 affected individuals in Indian population. Data was collected from 186 individuals of which 114 COVID-19 affected individuals data were used for analysis. Data was analyzed using correlation, regression and t-test. Results indicate that COVID-19 Obsession and Death Anxiety are positively correlated with each other and negatively correlated with Quality of life. Results also indicate that the presence of Death Anxiety is a predictor to have a significant effect on Quality of life in individuals and gender differences were found to be non-significant in COVID-19 affected population.
