Body-scan meditation is the practice of paying attention to different body parts and to bodily sensations systematically from feet to head. The present study aims to find the role of body-scan meditation on subjective happiness, psychological well-being, resilience, affect balance and emotion regulation. Twenty participants, aged 20-25 years, were selected for the study using purposive sampling and were equally divided into two groups. The study group received 19 minutes of monitored body-scan meditation for fifteen days, daily, while the control group did not practice meditation. Both groups were assessed with questionnaires fifteen days apart. Body-scan meditation was found to improve overall well-being of the participants. Significant improvement in the overall subjective happiness, psychological well-being and affect balance of the participants was observed in the study group and negative affect was observed to reduce significantly.
