The present study has been conducted to know the reading habits of newly recruited faculty of CCSHAU, Hisar. A well-structured questionnaire was distributed among 30 faculties out of which 26 were received back. The major findings of the study are – 76.9% read documents to update their knowledge in their subject; 38.5% of faculty spent 1-2 hours on reading while thirty percent spent 2-3 hours; 53.8 % read in free time while 26.9 % preferred to read in morning time; 43.3% preferred to read documents either at home or library; highest number of faculty members (92.3%) preferred reading journals followed by textbooks (73.1%) and 61.5% revealed that ‘most relevant information found in subscription mode.
