Women throughout the world experience higher levels of traumatic events, which include domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, intimate partner violence, trafficking, war-related violence and structural oppression. The review paper conducts a critical evaluation of psychosocial programs which were developed to treat women who have experienced trauma. The researcher identified 30 research papers that form the basis for the review. The research results demonstrate that psychosocial intervention functions as a crucial treatment method while showing all its psychosocial intervention results. The psychosocial intervention program implemented two components, which included Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) group therapy, support groups and Empowerment-based intervention. The psychosocial intervention implementation faced several practical difficulties according to the reviews. The research should investigate three areas, which include long-term outcomes of interventions, assessment of intersectional vulnerabilities and examination of community-based participatory models, which will improve sustainable trauma recovery methods for women. Accessible mental health services and support systems that empower survivors will create a major transformation that enables survivors to regain their lives and build a future that exists beyond their trauma.
