The literature suggests that psychological well-being is a multidimensional construct that influences vital domains of human life, such as health, behaviour, relationships, and success. This study’s objective is to assess adolescents’ psychological well-being in relation to age, gender, medium of instruction, school type, and board of education. The sample consists of 1,081 adolescent males and females, aged 13 to 19 years, from the Mangalore, Udupi, and Kodagu districts, selected through convenient sampling. The Psychological Well-being Scale (Sisodia & Choudhary, 2012) was administered. Demographic factors such as age, gender, class, medium of instruction, school type, and board of studies were considered independent variables. The dependent variables were psychological well-being, including efficiency, mental health, satisfaction, sociability, and interpersonal relations. The study employed survey research with an explorative, descriptive research design. Descriptive statistics were performed at the preliminary level, followed by Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The findings indicated differences in psychological well-being (PWB) based on age, class, medium of instruction, and school type but not due to gender and board of education.
