Poor health and hygiene: Its responsible factors of Dalit women

The basic problems inherent in slums are health hazards. Lack of basic services like safe drinking water, proper housing, drainage, and sheet disposal services; make slum population vulnerable and generate infections. Dalit women are living in slums represent a pathetic scenario in terms of ill health, low level of income, educational backwardness, and unhygienic environment. The research study found health and hygiene problem in research area like lack of proper sensitization and lack of awareness related health issues and inadequate efforts of government and non government organisations due to corruption of policies and services. This research paper has explored responsible factors for poor health and hygiene of dalit women.
