In the worldwide context, the burden of cancer continues to increase, with an expanding amount of new cases and deaths every year. A considerable proportion of cancer patients at various stages of the illness suffer emotionally, socially, and psychologically. Consequentially, the demand for psychological interventions to treat and support patients as well as survivors has considerably amplified. This research paper illustrates the effect of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy on depression among cancer patients. A sample of 20 cancer patients was included in the investigation. The relevant tools were administered to the respondents. Mindfuless-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) was administered on the sample for 8 weeks. The data was analyzed by applying appropriate statistics and results indicated that MBCT was helpful in reducing depression among patients. The research findings highlight that incorporating mindfulness in caring for cancer patients is of utmost importance. Health professionals should encourage such practices to make significant changes in the lives of patients.
