Mahatma Gandhi’s NREGA has had a significant impact on social protection, livelihood security, and democratic empowerment, making it a powerful weapon for inclusive growth in rural India. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), which enfranchised workers and became a landmark in world history, provided the largest employment program in human history in the last 15 years. Crores of poor people have been waiting for a long time to benefit from the government’s initiative. The success of MGNREGA will be assessed by taking into account the number of people employed and different types of people employed from 2006-07 to 2019-20. The present study examines two mandals (Veldurthi & Durgi mandals) of Guntur district. This study was done especially on those who got 100 days of work benefits. It was also examined to what extent the employment guarantee was implemented.
