Agriculture supports over 72% of rural populations in India, yet poverty persists due to low productivity and inadequate farmer support. This study examines the potential of digital agriculture to transform the sector and alleviate rural poverty. Small and marginal farmers, who produce a significant portion of the country’s food, face challenges such as limited resources and lack of access to modern technology. The Digital Agriculture Mission 2021-2025 aims to address these issues by leveraging mobile technologies Government initiatives in Haryana, including pilot projects and training programs, illustrate the potential benefits of these technologies. Digital farming can provide precise guidance on agricultural practices, improving efficiency and sustainability. Mobile technology and digital tools connect farmers to valuable data and market conditions, enhancing decision-making and productivity. The Digital India initiative underscores the importance of digital infrastructure and literacy in empowering rural communities and ensuring food security. This research highlights successful digital initiatives and advocates for their broader implementation to achieve sustainable agricultural development and meet the Sustainable Development Goals 2030
