The study is an attempt to investigate the perception of extension personnel towards the use of social media to connect with the farmers community, making them aware of various programs. The study is based on a survey conducted among 58 agriculture personnel of the Haryana region. The study has made all efforts to bring a versatile approach by approaching the respondents from different areas of the state. The study concludes that despite using social media frequently extension personnel needs training for effective use of social media for extension purpose. The study will help to understand the scenario of connectivity/ communication among agriculture personnel and farmers via new media. And further, it will help to design training programs in line with farmers’ awareness programs via social media.
