Sleep Quality is described as restorative sleep that includes duration and overall satisfaction an individual can have. Poor sleep quality might lead to fatigue, mood disturbances, reduced concentration, and diminished quality of life. This study aims to explore the relationship between sleep quality and the different dimensions of quality of life among college students, such as their general health, psychological well-being, social relationships, and physical health. The study employs a cross-sectional design involving a sample of 201 adults aged between 18-25 from India. Participants were administered the Sleep Quality Scale (SQS) and the WHO Quality of Life Brief Scale ( WHO , 1998 ) to examine the relation between Sleep Quality and Quality of life. A notable negative correlation was found between Sleep Quality and Quality of life (r= -.212 p<0.01). This signifies that the lower the SQS, the higher the QOL in young adults. A lower score on SQS represents a better sleep quality. The domains of QoL showed a significant relationship with SQS. The physical domain (r=-.303, p<.001), psychological domain (r = -.194, p<0.01), and social domain (r = -.15, p<0.05) were strongly associated with sleep quality. However, the environmental domain did not show any significant relation with SQS. Disturbed sleep leads to a weakened body, difficulties in paying attention, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. It further disrupts social relationships, both at a professional and personal level. As sleep quality improved, participants reported better physical, psychological, and social quality of life, emphasizing the integral role that sleep plays in overall life satisfaction.
