ADHD is a common neurodevelopmental condition. It is typically diagnosed in childhood and can persist in adulthood. ADHD is characterized by difficulty in maintaining attention, overactivity and poor impulse control behavior. Parents having such types of children face many challenges that affect their Quality of life as well as Coping with health. Thus, the present study is meant to help such types of parents through intervention for a better Quality of life and Coping with health. In view of this, the purposive sample of 45 parents was given intensive -intervention in the form of psychoeducation for parents and behavioural therapy for children with ADHD. The data was collected from the parents of ADHD children by administering the WHO-QOL-BREF (WHO, 1996) for Quality of Life and Coping with Health Inventory (CHIP) by Mccubbin (1983) before and after the intervention. The obtained responses were scored and subjected to paired comparison ‘t’ test to verify the impact of the intervention on the Quality of life and Coping with the health of parents of ADHD children. The findings revealed that the intervention played a significant role in improving the quality of life of parents of ADHD children after the intervention (p<0.001). More specifically, the Quality of life of parents of ADHD in terms of different domains like Physical (t=19.76), psychological health (t=7.36), social relationships (t=12.27), and environment (t=12.72) improved after the intervention. Similarly, the benefit of intervention to the parents and children of ADHD is also significantly very high (p<0.001) in improving Coping with health. More specifically coping with health in terms of its different dimensions like family integration (t=12.32), social support (t=12.07), and understanding the medical situation (t=14.01) was observed to be significantly improved after the intervention. Thus, the study emphasizes behaviour intervention for ADHD children and psychoeducation for their parents to have better Quality of life and Coping with Health.
