Printing process is a method used to print substrates with the help of suitable image carrier. Any single substrate can be suitably printed with many printing processes as per demand of the customer. New hybrid printing concepts also have given the printing field a new revolution which can print the substrates with the combination of two or more printing processes. Therefore, it is need of the hour to identify printing process with some suitable mechanism. This paper throws light on identification of different printing processes on the basis of print edges itself. A number of print samples were collected and with the help of 60-X zoom microscope the edges were enlarged. The identification and characterization of different printing process was done on the basis of enlarged print edges.
