Employee mental well-being has emerged as a critical dimension of organizational sustainability and productivity in the modern workplace. With increasing recognition of the adverse effects of stress, burnout, and work-life imbalance, organizations are now implementing comprehensive human resource (HR) policies to promote psychological health and emotional resilience. This review explores the theoretical foundations of mental well-being at work, key HR practices such as employee assistance programs (EAPs), flexible work arrangements, and wellness initiatives, and empirical evidence highlighting the effectiveness of these interventions. Drawing on global and Indian perspectives, the paper concludes with recommendations for integrating mental health promotion into organizational strategy.
